10. How are dividends calculated and paid on my savings?
We pay dividends on your savings in April each year. These are calculated over the financial year, which runs from 1 October to 30 September. We do not deduct any tax from your dividend, and will pay it directly into your primary savings account.
11. Do I have to pay tax on the dividends paid on my savings?
Unlike banks, we don't deduct any tax directly from the dividend we pay you. You should declare your dividend to the HMRC and they will advise you on what tax you may owe.
12. Do I get paid a dividend if I close my savings account before the end of the financial year?
No. Our financial year runs from 1 October to the 30 September, and we only pay dividends on accounts that are active on the 30 September. Dividends are paid in arrears in April.
13. Can I get a prepaid card for my savings account?

16. Do I have to pay tax on the dividend paid into my childs savings account?
In most cases you won't need to pay tax on the dividend paid on a Junior Saver. Just like adults, children get an annual tax free allowance (£11,000/year in 2016/2017), so unless your child has an annual income greater than their personal allowance or they earn more than £100 in interest a year on money given to them by their parents, they won't have to pay any tax.
